Academic (Associate Professor level) designs and delivers teaching and research within transnational education programs across CAL, STEM, and Future Education portfolios. The role leads teaching in areas such as business, engineering, computing, health sciences, and related fields, embedding academic language within disciplinary contexts to support student capability development. Operating across delivery locations in Jiangsu and Hainan as well as various other locations across China, the academic designs and delivers curriculum, facilitates learning, conducts and supervises research activity, and ensures students are progressing toward the academic standards required for transition into international partner programs.

Within AIFE’s teaching and delivery model, the role provides leadership in classroom practice, curriculum implementation, research integration, and student outcomes, working closely with teaching teams to maintain consistency and quality of delivery. The role guides subject delivery, supports academic staff, monitors student progression, and contributes to discipline-based research outputs and scholarly activity aligned to the organisation’s priorities. The position ensures academic quality by delivering consistent teaching standards, reinforcing defined learning outcomes, and maintaining alignment with partner program requirements.
