Professor John Hosking is Vice President – New Zealand (Academic) at AIFE, where he provides academic leadership across the New Zealand region and supports the development of transnational education programs and academic partnerships.

Professor Hosking is a highly experienced academic leader with a distinguished career in higher education across Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining AIFE, he served as Dean of Engineering at The Australian National University (ANU) and Dean of Science at the University of Auckland, where he led large academic faculties, strengthened research capability, and advanced teaching and learning innovation.

With extensive experience in academic governance, curriculum development, and research leadership, Professor Hosking has played a key role in shaping high-quality higher education environments and fostering international academic collaboration. His work reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence, institutional development, and student success.

At AIFE, Professor Hosking is responsible for strengthening academic partnerships, supporting program development, and advancing transnational education collaboration between New Zealand institutions and AIFE’s global network.
